About Us

iStock_000018250117XSmallTimPaq Refund Services was created to help inform Canadians about the disability tax credit and assist them in applying for it. To be considered, you must have a physical or mental impairment that lasted, or be expected to last for at least 12 months. Doctors, optometrists, audiologists, occupational therapists, psychiatrists, speech language pathologists, and other medical professionals can sign the required forms. There is also an additional supplement for people under the age of 18.

It is estimated that there are several million Canadians who are eligible to receive this tax credit. It is an initiative put forth by the Canadian government to assist those who are challenged everyday with physical or mental impairments.

If you live with a challenge it can dramatically affect your ability to perform simple functions that are necessary to care for yourself. If a person has any of these issues it can be very difficult and costly to live because their routine must be significantly modified to cope.

People in situations like this will inevitably have additional expenditures that the average person does not. This is precisely why the DTC was created; to reduce the amount of tax the government takes from people who incur more expenditures than the majority to support their lifestyle.

People who were denied in the past should contact us to re-apply since the government has expanded the criteria for qualifying to the DTC.

The DTC can be received retroactively for the past ten years. If you apply for and are accepted with this method you will receive a substantial amount of money from the Canada Revenue Agency.
